Hello luscious lawns and picket fences!

The family and I just went through with purchasing our first home and are now living in the suburbs. On June 20, we moved into split-level house in Lisle, Illinois. Last year we bought a minivan, so the transformation into lame adults is now complete. I have to go take care of that big yard, before the neighbors start whispering. The photo below is when we first looked at the house in March.

Gotcha beat. We have 2 minivans and a bigger lawn. I am a lamer (more lame?) adult than you.

Get yourself a Lowe's Card, and a ridind lawn mower with a snow blower on it and you will be right in business. I am kidding about the yard part: however, since you are probably a First Time House Buyer, you are benefiting from your president and congress gift to you and your family of a One Time Tax Credit. The tax credit doesn't appear to be working though because I read somewhere that if another house isn't sold or foreclosed that there are enough houses on the market to match what can expected to be sold in the five years.

Evidently, you believed your president and his congressional cronies.

The tax credit definitely played a part in our decision to buy this year.
