New Camera Lens - Thoughts? I just purchased a new lens from B&H this morning. I got the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8. I got that one because I couldn't afford the Nikkor version of the lens, and the Sigma had better reviews than the Tamron. Does anybody have any positive experiences with Sigma? I've never owned one of their lenses, and honestly, I'm a little nervous about the purchase. I hope that I like the lens as much as I love my Nikkor lenses.

1) I've been lucky enough to get just Nikkors thus far, but have used other people's Sigmas on occasion. I've heard generally decent things about them. If the reviews were good for the lens, I think you'll be safe. I've got an 80-200 2.8 that admittedly I've started using less and less - it weighs around 5 pounds - nice images, but I take a lot fewer when hefting it.
