Bonnaroo 2008 - Day Four
Well - a continuation of day three.

Saturday

After we finally rested a little bit - notice - I did not say slept - although i think we both snuck about an hour in there somewhere. We chilled around camp for a little while waiting on the skies to clear - which they finally did. Our neighbors this year were an interesting mix. On one side we had the 18 year old twins that flew in with nothing but their tent and clothing - no water - no shade tent - nothing else. We were kind worried about them at first considering they spent the whole first afternoon zipped in the tent in the blazing sun. I wondered more then once if they were trying to roast themselves. turns out - they were very very drunk as evidenced by one of them finally unzipping a zip, puking and then passing back out. It became pretty apparent that they were there mainly for the partying and the music was secondary. We did take pity on them and put their rain fly on their tent early Saturday morning. I am not sure it did alot of good since it had been raining since about 9 p.m. Friday night.

On the other side was and older man and his son. Turns out he is on Inforoo.org also but never posts - so he knew who we were. We also met several other random Inforoosters camped near us. It was fun to meet a bunch of people in person that we have talked to on the computer for the last two years.

Anyway - we finally headed into Centeroo to check out more music and tried to go see BB King (there was no way - it was hot and the stage he was playing on had no shade at all and was packed) although - with the way Bonnaroo is set up - as you walk past - you can always get a listen in. So we headed over and enjoyed most of Zappa Plays Zappa - which was a great show! The headed back for the main stage area to get a spot for Jack Johnson. This ended up being a highlight of my weekend. After this - we were both just completely worn out and ended up missing alot of music - including Pearl Jam (I did hear that while the show was good - Eddie was clearly wasted and stumbled and mumbled alot) and their three encores.

We headed back to the camp after Jack Johnson and passed out completely.

Overheard while leaving The What Stage and weaving though people - some random guy says "This is like a fucked up game of Frogger" I have laughed about that so many times now.
