"Just One Before I Die"

I am at a restursunt and a gentleman at the table next to us just "My goal is to get one social security check before I die." It must be nice to have goals.

5) He was mid 60s? How old do you have to been in this country to start getting some of your own money back?

6) Why does that sound a lot younger than it did 20 years ago? 10 years ago?

A co-worker turned 40 this week. He told me his father is turning 60 (or maybe has turned 60). His father said, "Sixty is the new 40!". Sean asked him "What is 40 then?" His father replied, "Forty"

Guess it is all in the angle you view it from. :) I remember us talking in HS and saying, "That man is OLD...he must be over 30!" Thirty was the demarcation line between us and "old"

8) Is 40 old? I don't think so, but then again, I have always felt older than I am. I guess it comes from having two older sisters. I feel like 50 is my scary age. and that is twice as old as I am. I do not think I am going to mind getting old so much, my husband will always be older than me! Love ya, Joe.
