Best Day Since today was the best day I've had all year, at least, I will begin to tell you about my Best Day by doing something that also adds to my Best Day: writing out a list.
1) It is beautiful outside today. Officially the most beautiful day of the year so far. Sunny, breezy, 75 degrees. Everyone needs a day like this after a gross winter. All of my windows are open in my house it's so beautiful.
2) I took Story into work with me for a while today. This is sometimes disastrous, and she was certainly into everything and got very fussy at one point, but it is always fun to bring her in and have everyone love on her a little bit. Plus, she and I had a snack in the snack room together, and that was cool.
3) While I was at work, I had a great conversation with my boss! I love my boss. The beautiful day just added to my love for everyone today anyway, but I love her other days as well.
4) I met my mom at her work where SHE got to show Story off to everyone. This was really fun to see, even though all of my mom's introductions ended with, "Oh, and this is my daughter, Kate." It was fun to see everyone love on Story there, too, and watch my mom be so proud. Also, Story chose this location to be at her cutest.
5) My mom and I went out to a great lunch at a little Greek place where I proceeded to shove my face full of warm pita and Dr. Pepper.
6) Beautiful drive home through St. Louis with the windows cracked and a sleeping baby in the back.
7) A little while after we got home, Story took another nap! She is STILL sleeping! Ugh, Best Day!
8) My mom is coming over to babysit tonight while my husband and I get to go out to a community group meeting for church. This is great because those people are great. Plus there will be snacks!
9) Leftovers for dinner tonight so I don't have to worry about making dinner!
10) I just wrote out a really satisfying list.
Whew, Best Day!
