The Studio on the Square

UPDATE!
We Got the Job!! With an overwhelming majority, they voted us in! Now the real work begins.

I'm very excited! My friend (and fellow Humzooer), Lyndsey, and I merged our creative talents and equipment to open a photography studio. We've been working a little from the studio while trying to maintain our "real" jobs. It's been a slow start but at least we didn't go too far into the hole for the first two months. So, why am I so excited today, you ask?
Let me tell you.
I got a call on Friday. A friend of mine (another Humzooer) is on the board for a local organization that serves 50 or so under-privileged kids. She asked me to write a proposal to do their portraits. First, I was scared to death. Then, I got it written and today I submitted it. I'm feeling very good about the whole thing.
Last night, I recieved an email from another friend who was sending along some contact information for someone she works with. He's looking for a wedding photographer! I contacted him and he hired me! And today, I spoke with my partner and she was telling me that she got her first call from a total stranger looking for a senior portrait photographer. Looks like our little endeavor might actually work. :)
