Hot!

No, it isn't that hot. Actually it is pretty mild--only 62. Just seems a little warm in the house. I needed to come home and bake and as usually happens on a Friday, I'm tired and crabby and I have no desire to be in a warm kitchen. I thought of several options that were faster or easier but needing two things I was torn between cookies that would make enough to split and distribute and bars that would require two recipes and more mixing time but less kitchen time. I finally decided on a new recipe I found this week. Hopefully I won't create too much of a sensation with the name "Seduction Brownies". The recipe is basically butter, sugar and chocolate with a little flour and nuts added (sorry, nut haters--but you probably need to add something for body...maybe more chocolate in chip form). I grabbed the recipe off the web and copied quickly to Word for Mac and printed. I've noticed when I print from Word when copied from the web--the type is like reading a Large Print book. Is that the web or Word deciding I'm nearly blind and need VERY BIG PRINT. I guess I need to play with the settings a little to get things down to a more normal size like my old PC version of Office 2003. A little more reasonable for me.

(you can probably read this from across the room).

The recipe seems to be a good one if you want a brownie that is more fudge with a nice crust on top. We'll see if the library folks and my ex-walking buddy like this one. Hopefully I won't cause any problems with either recipient if these live up to their name. :)

Seduction x 2 (actually 3 since I doubled the recipe once for the larger one)

I have nothing to complain about temperature wise--it was only 62 degrees outside but it was muggy with the rain so it made it seem warm and the house was stuffy. Sorry you had so much heat. I don't see how people work in attics or on roofs when it is so hot. I'd be sick for sure. I guess they adjust. :) Hope you got your fan installed and it helps!

Hot - tell me about hot. We got to Chicago Wednesday afternoon and it was 104 at my sister-in-law's house. I slept on her couch because she couldn't get her upstairs cool enough. We left Thursday morning and drove in 95+ weather (in a nice cool car) all day yesterday until we got into the mountains of West Virginia where it was 78 degrees. MUCH BETTER.

And YOU crabby -- can't believe that ☺

Yeah, Carol has NEVER seen me crabby over it being hot. :) No one at her house would even attempt to talk to me until 1 hour after I got home when I had to commute in a non-AC car! LOL

Glad you got to the mountains and have some cooler weather!! I hear those mountains in NC are a lot warmer than they used to be. We used to have to use blankets on the bed when visiting Black Mountain in the summer. Loved it!!
