Hot!
No, it isn't that hot. Actually it is pretty mild--only 62. Just seems a little warm in the house. I needed to come home and bake and as usually happens on a Friday, I'm tired and crabby and I have no desire to be in a warm kitchen. I thought of several options that were faster or easier but needing two things I was torn between cookies that would make enough to split and distribute and bars that would require two recipes and more mixing time but less kitchen time. I finally decided on a new recipe I found this week. Hopefully I won't create too much of a sensation with the name "Seduction Brownies". The recipe is basically butter, sugar and chocolate with a little flour and nuts added (sorry, nut haters--but you probably need to add something for body...maybe more chocolate in chip form). I grabbed the recipe off the web and copied quickly to Word for Mac and printed. I've noticed when I print from Word when copied from the web--the type is like reading a Large Print book. Is that the web or Word deciding I'm nearly blind and need VERY BIG PRINT. I guess I need to play with the settings a little to get things down to a more normal size like my old PC version of Office 2003. A little more reasonable for me.(you can probably read this from across the room).
The recipe seems to be a good one if you want a brownie that is more fudge with a nice crust on top. We'll see if the library folks and my ex-walking buddy like this one. Hopefully I won't cause any problems with either recipient if these live up to their name. :)
Seduction x 2 (actually 3 since I doubled the recipe once for the larger one)
And YOU crabby -- can't believe that ☺
Glad you got to the mountains and have some cooler weather!! I hear those mountains in NC are a lot warmer than they used to be. We used to have to use blankets on the bed when visiting Black Mountain in the summer. Loved it!!
