The big move to Oregon from Minnesota.

BIG change, but I think for the better from what you've blogged. Am I right?

I would say that. Some things more than others but I have no regrets about the move. :) I stuffed as much in that car as I could and on top too. The rack doesn't have rails that run front and back so there was nothing to attach the other straps. I did my best to tie it down but the wind would move it around. It was a little unnerving when it would shift it sideways when I was going around a sharp curve. It gave you the sense that the car was shifting too and you'd feel it was going over the edge. Freaked me out the first time. After that I knew it was coming and compensated but I was glad when it was done. The back had a huge wire crate with two elderly cats and a litter box. Lucky took up the backseat and I packed all I could around the crate and in the area between the seat and floor as well as packed the front floor and front seat as much as I could safely. Lucky rode well. He had enough padding and a flat area that he could really stretch out. The cats were less happy but then they required the litter box. Two 14 hour days of that. Good thing I like driving. LOL

I remember that trip well. I was a wreck and kept calling on the cell phone to keep abreast of what was going on. Glad you are happy there. It is a beautiful place to live. I want to come back out sometime and see more of OR.

I remember you finding me hotels along the way! Though the funny part of that story was you misunderstanding "The Dalles" and called it "The Dells" or something and they couldn't find a hotel in the right chain. So, I had to settle for another one we found. Then, the next morning as I was leaving I drove right past the one we had been looking for. LOL I remember laughing about that. All I remember was trying to beat the guy with the moving van to have an address for him to park in front of before he got there. :)
