I went to the Farmer's Market and what do you think I saw?

It was still very shady in this area at 8:30 AM (I'm sure the dogs were grateful--very hot over at the booths!) but hopefully you can make out the cute sign.

This is too cute. We can bring dogs to our Farmer's Market (but it's also nothing like this), but I think Buddy and Clancy would enjoy their own tree and a volunteer much more.

I nearly stayed. If I remember right last year the first day was wet and cold and kept the crowds light but they probably had lots of people this year with all the sun and heat. Me, I was ready to stick my head in one of these bowls after 15 mins. in the sun. NOT a summer person! The dogs seem to enjoy themselves but they sure are vocal!

Who do they get to volunteer to dog sit? Kids?

I think the dogs get to look after the kids....that way everyone gets to have fun.

I think it is both kids and adults. Adults to put in that "responsible" touch but kids to do a lot of the grunt work. I noticed each dog got his name on his water bowl. Talk about the personal touch! It's free but they do encourage donations to the cause.
