5589 North Fairview--my residence for 17 years. Nearly as long as I made it in North Carolina before I started being more mobile than an RV. Looks peaceful and mosquito-free in this picture!

Yeah the winters suck, but if you can survive that, the summers are totally worth it!

2) I lived in N. Dakota for quite a few years. Agreed... winters suck. But I was a kid and didn't know better. It was a great place to be a kid.

3) I'm just the opposite--winters didn't bother me--summers did. Yes, they could be gorgeous and the lakes were awesome but the bugs did me in. And the humidity that could come with the heat. One thing that OR does is have drier summers. Rare to have a humid day--much less one with 100 degrees and 100% humidity. But the people--can't beat them. And I miss them every single day and wish I could have both worlds but alas I can only have one. :)
