Chocolate trifles aren't quite as pretty as berry trifles but there are a lot of flavors in there. Toffee chip bars (lots of butter, toffee bits, brown sugar and chocolate chips), caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, caramel-flavored whipped cream, chocolate custard, chunks of Heath bars, more whipped cream, with some sliced Heath bars on top and some cocoa nibs to give a little extra intense chocolate to the fare (not to mention some real crunch).

They might not be as pretty, but they sure are good!

Hope so, Merritt! We'll find out today! I'm always worried I will overdo the "stuff" in there so it is too busy. I like to play with layering and textures and flavors so I can get a little crazy at times. :)

No one seemed to mention it so I'm not sure it was as good as it looks. Hope they are just too busy to remember to say! :) At least you folks like the looks of them!! LOL

I just ran and got two pints of Oregon blackberries for a small trifle for my hair-stylist. They were out of strawberries before I got there and wouldn't have raspberries until an hour from now. Guess she gets blackberries. I think I will put a layer of fresh strawberry jam in the center for a surprise. Oregon strawberries--just cooked a bit. :)
