I had one left over after boxing the rest so I got to sample one. It has all the right parts. Crisp cookie but chewy interior with a big dollop of chocolate on the top. Hopefully Debbie and Jamison will agree!

Amazing photo. One of my favorite cookies of all time. Catherine baked peanut butter cookies tonight and I didn't even think about putting a kiss in the center.

We've always had these around Christmas time and every year, I eat the Kiss first. I guess I've been doing that for...almost 40 years!

Easy addition but it does have to be done while hot. I've even used a mix in a pinch. Another easy one is taking your PB cookie dough and rolling a ball about 1 1/2 in. in diameter and dropping it in a mini muffin pan and bake (350 for 8-10 minutes until puffy and the shine is gone). As soon as you get the pan out, drop a Reese's PB cup into the cookie until nearly even with the top. These have to cool in the pan before you remove them. They aren't easy to get out of a standard non-stick muffin pan but they will come out with a good bit of tapping on the table or counter. I got a couple of silicone mini muffin pans and they work even better. You just push them out of the pan. A standard PB cookie recipe makes around 48--so if you get 2-24 count silicone pans they are perfect. You can use them for other bite-sized cakes or cookies or brownies. These are a favorite at work too. Anyone who likes chocolate and PB will love both.

This was a cookie that my gramma always made at the holidays. It was one of my favorites. Unfortunately I have not had one since that tasted quite like hers. I wish I had my passion for baking before she died . . . I want her recipes so badly. I would give anything to find one that actually tasted like hers.

They are a standard at Christmas--I don't think I've ever seen a bake day or Christmas party without a plate of them. But, they aren't just for Christmas. Bake a pan any time! :) An easy one that everyone loves. I hope they don't have a meltdown as they travel around with Debbie--we are heading back to the 80s today (ICK!) At least no 90s so I can be happy we aren't going that high. I think tomorrow is even worse. Back on with the AC!! Then back to more normal and reasonable temps.
