For my librarians I baked the apple cake in my coffee-cake pan. When I bought it it seemed hard to find. Now this pan seems to be everywhere and is called a "monkey-bread pan". I used this pan because I thought it would be easier for them to cut smaller pieces for a larger group. I took their nice thick homemade caramel sauce in a Glad container. If I get it back--fine. If not, easy to replace. Oh, they even kept and returned the cake board I took last time. They are nice cake boards that are made from plastic. You can wash and use it again.

That must be the apple cake! Yum!

You should try making one, Vicky. It will become one of your favorites and it's easy to prepare the night before and bake in the morning for a hot apple cake breakfast and a warm apple-y smelling house.
