I took one of my favorite vanilla cake recipes and made two batches and baked 3-sizes of cake. I was a little disappointed the small ones wouldn't brown like I wanted but given the tiny size I was worried they would turn into hockey pucks if I baked them longer than 15 minutes. Since their shape and color wasn't as inspired as the larger ones, I dunked them in chocolate. Since they were so small, I had lots of chocolate glaze left so I glazed the larger ones too. Efficiency in the baking kitchen!
