I don't think I ever posted a photo of the new family room furniture. I wanted it to be new to my family when they visited. I really like it. The old furniture was low to the floor and deep seated and very soft cushioned. For someone short like me it was very uncomfortable and awkward to get up and out of it. This one is much higher, less depth and firmer cushioned. I still have the old furniture until my realtor comes to pick it up (she bought it). I only have to go and sit on it to remember how uncomfortable it was for me.

Very nice! I'm hoping we can get out to visit within the next year.

I hope so too! :) That would be a lot of fun. I may have to look for you since I won't recognize Dick without glasses. :)

You should have been here tonight -- BIG storms. Sirens went off several times. Lots of tornado sightings around the cities. We'll have to wait until morning to survey the damage around the cities. We were fine, although there are lots of limbs down and my potted plants were blown all over the driveway, along with the lawn chairs. A large tree went down across the street on the neighbors house and two cars. So we were all out in the street checking out the damage. The only one home was the 14 year old son. He was pretty scared -- said he thought he was going to die when he heard the tree hit the house.

Pretty scary stuff. Is that one of the kids who got in trouble with you when they broke glass or something in the street in front of your house and you went over and talked to the parents?

Sometimes I almost miss the wild storms--pretty rare here. But, then I remember the emerald skies and sirens and sitting in the basement and I think "maybe I don't miss them that much". I do miss the smell of ozone during or after a storm--we don't usually have any lightning so no ozone smell.

It looks very comfortable. Have you broken it in with a nap?

Totally napped on it. Naps well. Both pieces--though the loveseat is a bit short (even for me) for stretching out. I could probably still get a chair in the room but now that my furniture people are leaving--I don't feel that inclined to find one.
