Suet Cam - 2009
I got a FLIP camera last year and wanted to play with it so I strapped it to a tree at my previous house and let it run for an hour to see what I might see. The birds must have known they were needed for a video--they showed up in droves. The little gray ones are bushtits. The first one is a chestnut-backed chickadee. The last one with the beautiful markings and yellow color is a Townsend's Warbler. I feel lucky I got such a good video of their activity--and that the same bird breeds are here at the current house.

Me too. And I noticed when I loaded it and watched it that one of the little bushtits comes in for a landing across the yard. I love the way they undulate in the air like they are riding waves of air. They travel in flocks and it can look like a wave of birds when they cross the yard in a large group. One of my favorite birds in Oregon.

Naw, it was bungie corded to a tree--but I guess the woodpeckers could have done it. :)
