Another DBCC success story:)

I took a dozen DBCC cookies with me on my trip to Nashville last weekend. I freshly baked them the morning of the trip. As we were checking into our hotel, I just happened to have my container of cookies. Had a nice conversation about our stay and for some odd reason, the topic of my cookies I was holding came up. Well, lets just say, Kevin, (Hotel check-in person, what is that position called?) was starting to faint from the aroma of the cookies. So, I knew that I had a dozen and there were only going to be four of us. I decided to sacrifice a cookie and share one with Kevin. He not only upgraded our room to a corner room... but before the end of our stay and after a couple more cookies .... he gave us free parking as well. Quote "those cookies sent chills down my spine!"

Thanks again to LGrant for the AMAZING DBCC cookies!

2) I had a couple beers (Blue Moon) before actually taking this shot, so it is NOT the best I could have taken. (what can I say, I am a light weight)

6) I never realized DBCC had such far reaching results! I guess that is a lesson to all Humzooers to carry a bag of DBCC on all trips to garner the rewards! :) Great story, LindaG! :D

7) Great! I am going to try and get upgraded to first class on my next flight. I wonder how many dozen should I bake?

8) Sounds like Linda didn't have too many needed for some perks. Maybe one dozen will do for the upgrade on your flight.

12) Nice story! It's becoming clear that DBCC cookies have magical properties. Maybe someone should take a batch to the Middle East and see if they can't end the fighting.

13) Good idea, Sally. I'll bet they could make some folks rethink war. They'd be so busy looking for milk and a place to sit and enjoy the whole thing--they'd forget to fight.

Speaking of DBCC--I'm going into the kitchen in a few minutes and make another batch. Before we go up in the 90s again. I promised a batch to a co-worker for figuring out a mystery. :) The funny thing is it wasn't the long-time worker who figured it out but someone who just started today. I'd say she made an impression! :) I told her she could change the order to something else and she said (famous last words) "those sound pretty good to me too"

15) We'll see, Nancy. :) They will be surprised since I told them they'd have to wait until the heat wave is over but then I remembered the house is as cool as it is going to be now--it will be hotter as we go. LOL

16) Linda, do they not have a/c in Oregon as a rule? Does it not get hot enough normally for people to have a/c? Just curious!

17) People do have AC here because we do have some hot days. A lot of people never bother because we don't get that many. I doubt any places on the coast or high enough in the mountains bother--they usually never see anything past the 80s. The coast gets more rain but it doesn't get hot there. I believe last year Astoria, OR (think Kindergarten Cop or Goonies!) hit 90 and that was a record. My kind of place!
