Scanned family pics, etc.

My Parents have multiple carousels of slides from my childhood. I have started a project to scan and burn to cd's for sharing with my sisters. I only brought two carousels back home with me after my last trip up north. It didn't take as long to scan as I thought, luckily my daughter has loaned me her scanner. It can scan 16 slides at a time thank goodness. I will apologize for the lack of quality of the slides, but then again, they are old and I don't think my family was into photography like so many people are now.



So, there are a few here that remind me of the few vacations we took. It also makes me realize my Mom is not in many of the pictures because she took most of them, making me also wonder if she chose that because she herself didn't want to be in any of the pictures or was she just the chosen photographer.


We didn't take many vacations because my Parents have always been self employed and still are at the age of 79 and 81. Anyway, after looking at some of the pics and I mean only some.. because I have not finished scanning the lot of them yet at all. But some memories have come back to me. I was a bit younger than my sisters, so they might remember better than I.

Kind of odd how I am now living at the location of one of my vacations. I am sure when I was younger I never dreamed of moving away from my family.
