NOW I feel old...Ugh!
I went to my Chiropractor for the first time in four years. I was getting along fine up until a month ago and have had the worst back pain ever. She has discovered today that my right leg is a bit shorter then my left and sent me home with a HEEL LIFT!!! OMG, I feel so friggin old! OK, so it might explain my back pain but geez a HEEL LIFT??? and in order to wear the stupid heel lift I have to wear tie shoes, I guess tennis shoes would be my first choice. BUT, what about my cute sandals and flip flops.. there goes my fashion!!! UGH!!! I also went for x-rays, so will see if there are any other results. Grrrr!

1) I feel your pain. I went to the podiatrist last fall and was told I have arthritic bone spurs. I'm not even 40. He said I needed shoe inserts or I would be prime for foot surgery before long. Bummer that I can't wear the inserts with so many shoes. But it did mean that I get to buy more shoes. =)
2) Do they HAVE to be tie shoes? Like, I just got a pair of really cute sketchers that have a strap across the top that velcros. I know a lot of the sketchers have bands over the top of the foot so that it'll hold tight, but not have to tie. They kind of look like a Mary Jane that wanted to be a tennis shoe when it grew up. I know they're no sandal, but at least more fabulous than tennies all the time.
3) I have 3 different "tennis" shoe types and yes, one of them is sketchers. I wore them today .. and well, I am not convinced this is the right choice yet. My toes kind of felt scrunched but more than that my bad knee is on the verge of having a flare up again, some tendons strained and beginning to swell tonight. I am going back for more real chiropractic treatments within the next few weeks. I will be as good as NEW!
