help! we need your votes on YouTube!
I received this email today from a fellow barbershopper in Iowa. I want to help her get as many votes as possible, PLEASE VOTE FOR AMY!

Linda,

My name is Wendy Ostrem and I am a member of the Metro Mix Chorus. My 13 year old daughter Amy has a video entered into the YouTube a capella singing contest sponsored by Sweet Adelines and is currently in 3rd place! Amy is very much a barbershop kid. She began asking to go to rehearsals with me when she was very small and her interest has not weakened. She has participated in all the YWIH Festivals (four, I believe) that Metro Mix has sponsored thus far and has sung with me in the family chorus in Indianapolis a few years back. She sang bass in a little girl quartet when she was only 10 years old and two years ago was the bass to my baritone in a fun quartet which sang for a few people late Saturday night after competition inSpringfield.

I wondered if others in the region might like to support her effort in the contest. I'll include here the links to both the Sweet Adeline video that tells about the contest and Amy's video entry. Perhaps there are others in our region that also have entries? I'd love to know so they could be supported too! I'll certainly understand if you feel this isn't appropriate to send out to individuals or choruses but I did want to make someone aware.thanks!!

The contest ends on September 8th and the winner will be the video that has the most ratings (not the most views as was the case last year). To rate a video you do have to have a YouTube account and be signed in to that account when you view the video. Then you just click on the stars underneath the screen to rate it.

Thanks again for your time!

In Harmony,

Wendy Ostrem
