5 Weeks
It is hard to believe that Tripp has been here for 5 weeks. I was just saying to Roger this morning, "Can you believe that he was inside of me?" That is just unreal.
We've had some major things happen this week (well maybe they are minor, but they seem major to me!). He went in his carrier and liked it! He stayed in for about 20 minutes. I'm going to try again today or tomorrow. He's getting better about taking more regular naps (okay, I'm getting better about putting him down for a nap when he shows signs of being tired). He REALLY likes to nap in his swing. I think that it is okay right now. I'll transition him to the crib later. I think that it's just important that he sleeps. He had a major sleeping night on Thursday. He went down around 9:30, got up at 2:30 to eat, and then at 6:30 for the day! Last night wasn't as stellar, but he also went to bed earlier. He went down at 8:40, got up at 1:30 to eat, wanted to eat again at 5:00, and then woke up at 7:40 for the day. I'm just happy that he didn't stay up at 5:00. That would have stunk.
He will have a busy week this week. His Grandma and Grandpa Tise are coming up from Winston-Salem to meet him. We have lots of appointments scheduled. I'll finally find out how much he weighs and how long he is on Thursday. I tried measuring him yesterday with a tape measure. I estimate about 23 inches and about 9 pounds. Of course, my weighing is I get on the scale and then get on with him to see the difference (not so accurate). My measuring consisted on laying him on the bed and holding the tape measure of to him while trying to stretch him out. We shall see how accurate I am!
