A Mini and Big Milestone this Week!

That's right! Tripp is on top of things. Earlier this week, I put him in his swing (unswaddled ) for his nap (we are going to work on getting him in the crib for naps very soon). When he woke 40 minutes later (he likes the short naps these days), I showed him how to play with the toy on his swing. The next day, he woke up and when I came into the room he was quietly playing with the toy. So cute!

We have really been working on the tummy time and now Tripp doesn't need the boppy anymore to help him hold his head up. He was doing such a great job this morning.

Tonight after his bottle, I took him into our room so that he could show Roger what a great job he was doing. I put him down on his stomach and he rolled over instantly. Roger and I looked at each other shocked and both thought that I put him down unbalanced. So, I put him back on his stomach and he did it again. That's right... we have a roller!
The rest of our week pales in comparison. He sits up in his Bumbo seat and loves to look at the fire (which is on all the time since it is chilly up here). He's still laughing and smiling up a storm, which really brightens our day!

1) Awesome. Next step is sitting up....more and more fun. His hair looks about the same color as Lucy's

2) We were just shocked. We hadn't seen any signs that he was going to do it. I think that his red hair is mellowing out some (although it still looks pretty red). I looked at Lucy's again and it does look to be about the same color.

4) That's awesome Merritt! It totally gets better every single day too. Even on their bad days. The personality just continues to come out of them and they never cease to amaze you.

6) WOW! He really has his head held high! I need to do more tummy time with Driggs. Driggs is only taking 45 minute naps during the day now, too. Cute monkey and owl jammies.

7) It is easier to get it in now that he sleeps less! I've heard of lots of babies this age that are taking shorter naps. Must be a phase. It just seemed like all of a sudden he was holding his head up like that. He wasn't doing it that well this past Monday. You can get the jammies at Old Navy.... very inexpensive!

10) He is growing up so fast. I can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks and meet him. Yeah, just wait until you suddenly realize they can open doors and get to things you thought were out of their reach. It seems they acquire skills faster than you realize and just spring them on you one day!
