Humzoo book club?

We need to start some sort of Humzoo book club or even a book trade!! After reading Sallypants' blog about her summer reading, Lionheart's blog and all the comments from the two, I'm realizing that we've got a bunch of readers on Humzoo. It just makes my little English-teacher heart swell.

My summer reading thus far...

I've got to get ready for work, but let me know if you're interested in either a book club or a book trade. I'm more than happy to organize it (seeing as how in just a few days I'm going to be off for three months!!)
I'll elaborate more on the idea later, but I'm off to bike to work...

1) I believe Rangywulf already started a book club. I believe they started with The Alchemist. Not sure if it is still going on though.

3) I love that so many people here love to read too. It always does my heart good to go to the library and see it full of people reading and checking out books. And how many kids come to the library and love the process of finding and checking out books. Good for parents who support that!!

4) I read the Alchemist and commented on the first Book Club forum, but no one else ended up joining in on the conversation.

6) I would be very interested in a book discussion group here on Humzoo. This is becoming my new internet home!

7) I would love to do a book club, if anyone is interested in two children under the age of three?! HA!! Good luck, Mrs. Shoo, and have a wonderful summer!

9) yeah, I think RangyWolf got a little overwhelmed with life to keep the bookclub going. My reading time is limited, so I'm not sure I can keep up w/a club. And I already have a ton of books under my nightstand calling me.

10) I have tons of books that I would be willing to swap with someone else. It would be a lot cheaper than buying books. I'll post a list sometime in the future. However, it may not be for a few weeks because I am leaving for vacation Thursday.

11) I see you are a Jodi Picoult fan. Do you like Elizabeth Berg? How about Amy Tan? I am a fan of all three.

13) I would totally do a book club or swap. I'm not sure how I missed the first attempt - must have been during finals. This is so exciting! I was dreading not having any literary outlets now that college is over...looks like I was wrong!

15) I would be down for a book club. I remember seeing one around here awhile back and wanted to join in but was too swamped with not-so-pleasurable school reading.

Leslie- I love the idea of a book swap. I've got a bunch of books sitting around here that I've read and with the exception of a select few will probably never pick up again. I would be happy to pass them on to someone!
