Clancy's morning routine...

Every night before he goes to bed, Mr. Shoo puts Buddy and Clancy outside to potty, then he puts them in the kitchen (or lately leaves them in the living room since they don't destroy things anymore). When I wake up in the morning, I let them out and say hello with a scratch behind the ears. Then I go about my morning business (at that point, it's shower time).
Buddy usually finds some place to curl up on the couch, but Clancy runs to the bedroom door. He sits there until I come let him in, at which point, he jumps up on the bed and ruts around until he can get under the covers with Mr. Shoo. He then curls under the blankets and sleeps until Mr. Shoo makes him get up...and what a difficult task that is.
Our dogs hate to get up even more than Mr. Shoo. We have to kick Buddy in the bum to get him to go outside in the morning. They just don't like to uncurl themselves.

On that note, it sounds like there's an interest in a book swap. I'll make up a blog survey for those interested to find out what types of books people like, then we'll start swapping!! Yay! So, this afternoon look for a swap survey as well as my email address for addresses!

Have a good day, Humzoo!

1) Nice routine. I don't even see the dogs in the morning. They stay in there crate because I leave around 6am. Denny lets them out when he gets Dylan up and ready for daycare. Dylan and I are greeted by a lot of jumping when we get home in the evening though.

2) Sam's easy, he'll curl up on his bed as soon as I get in bed and only uncurl himself when I get up....unless there's an earthquake of course in which case he'll be pacing and whining. The first thing I do is let him out, fill his bowl, let him in and that's all I need to do in terms of morning. He as freedom of the house at all time and is incredibly well behaved. The only damage he might do is chew on a shoo but he only does that when we've been out for a long time and left him alone.

3) Max our Jack Russell (age 12) is now stone deaf. He loves to hide in closets, under tables with tablecloths, etc. We are constantly searching for him to boot him outside. If there is even one drop of rain coming down both our dogs resist going out. I guess they are afraid they are going to shrink.

4) Our dogs hate going out in the rain too. I have to run out there with them for a second and then close the door to get them to go to the bathroom in the rain.

5) Sam's oblivious to rain and will just happily lie in a muddy puddle and get rained upon.
