Wedding fever...
In case you don't read the Gotshoo, Mr. Shoo and I went to a wedding the last weekend in May. It seems as if all our friends have found their someones and have wedding fever. We've got another wedding fourth of July weekend, one in September, then I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding next June.

**Me getting ready for the wedding at the end of May, and Mr. Shoo, camera in hand, annoying the beJesus out of me.**

Other than that, I haven't been doing a lot of anything. I'm trying to get back into the shape I was in when I first met Mr. Shoo. I've been biking and running. I actually just got back from a 1.5 mile run around the neighborhood. I can't say that I ran the entire way, but I like to do intervals anyway...supposedly it burns more fat. It's how I lost my college weight. (Then I met Mr. Shoo and gained my college weight back and then some. I love him, but he's not good for my figure...)
I've been playing with my sewing machine a lot lately also. I'm just kind of playing around right now, but when I get something I like, I'll put it up here.

Also, if you're interested in the book exchange, make sure to email me with your address, as well as favorite authors, books you have, books you'd like, etc. mrs.shoo at gmail.com.

1) book exchange---you should talk to G-Ma Scheufele. We exchange books all the time. Reading King's Duma Key right now.
Cannot partake in a shoe exchange as I wear 9-10 womens (depends on style) or 7 guys. Plus I wear cowboy boots (no heels after breaking some toes).

2) Ugh! I know about those weddings. We've been invited to SIX this summer. We've gone to two already and have taken to grading them. Both ranked in the B to B- range. Nothing horrible so far, just a close call with a bread basket fire at the reception. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for something real interesting though like forgotten rings or maybe a a no-show. That would be interesting.

3) I'm sorry I haven't gotten my book exchange form to you yet. I have been spending every daylight hour planting the garden. Ha Ha I sound like Farmer Jones. I will try to work on it tomorrow. Yes, you have a lot of weddings, but that's a whole lot more fun then going to funerals. I am super excited b/c Scott's fiance, her mom and sister are all coming to the East on the 20th to work on wedding plans for their July '09 event. My first to get married...and as you Illinois folks like to say WOOT!

4) We had a good time at our last wedding...didn't really enjoy the food. But I'm pretty picky about what I'll eat.

Leslie, That book exchange form is totally like something I'd give to my students. I just get a bit too organized sometimes.
