Your intro song?

Mr. Shoo and I went to a Sliders game last night with his brother and brother's girlfriend. It was a good time. Many times we were entertained by the players' choice in intro songs. You know the songs they play when the players walk out onto the field to bat?
Betsy, Robbie, Mr. Shoo and I have had the discussion before about which song we'd choose if we were baseball players. I'd probably pick "Real Wild Child" by Iggy Pop...maybe? I think I might have to give it more thought.

So, what would be your intro song??

1) I don't know if it really works for baseball but my intro song would absolutely HAVE to be "Walkin' on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.... It revvs me up!

4) On a softball team I was on, we actually did this for one game and my song was Raw Power by Iggy and the Stooges. What good taste in music you must have Mrs. Shoo.

6) Thriller by Michael Jackson. That ought to get the crowd pumped.

9) Greensleeves.

My advanced strategy shirks the conventional wisdom of pumping the batter up, and instead focuses on lulling the defense into a deep sleep. I guarantee Major Leaguers will be using this practice by next season.

10) Haley, seriously... Final Countdown would be the best intro song EVER!

11) Mine would be something by Journey... probably Separate Ways.

12) Rick Astley even made a whole LP Sally. I know because my sister once bought it and used to play it non-stop.....actually, she did stop occasionally but that was only to put on Whitney Houston or early Kylie Minogue.

13) Hayley, I like "Final Countdown."
Leslie, "Thriller" would be so much fun.
Good strategy, Russ. Remind me to call you next time I'm getting a softball team together.

14) Sir Psycho Sexy. It's just funky goodness. I'm not psycho or sexy, but I do love the Chili Peppers...before they got soft.

17) I thought Wild Thing in Major League worked well--but then I don't watch baseball and I rarely know the name of any song or who played it. :)

18) Corey Hart's "Never Surrender." Nothing like a little Canadian rock to light a fire. Though I think Steve Goodman's "A Dying Cub Fans' Last Request" might be appropriate.

19) I don't know if I'm the athlete that would need an intro song, but I've always thought of "Rebel Rouser" by Duane Eddy (its in Forrest Gump when he's running football) as the theme song of my childhood. ;-)
