Life at 27
I've been 27 for a week now, and I have to say, life at 27 has been pretty sweet--mostly because I've been off work for the majority of the week. I'm also back to an odd number, which my OCD self really likes.

I don't know if it's a lack of serotonin and I just need real spring or what, but I have been burnt out...and not on any one thing, but life in general. Maybe when I can break out the bike the hubby bought me for my birthday on a regular basis, I'll be a bit perkier. But I really feel like a Debbie Downer lately. This week has done nothing but encourage the lethargic behavior.

I need routine. And sun. And no more term papers. Ooh...and no more cavities. Even my eye was numb today.

4) I think it is the glum weather and the school year winding down. Do one thing special for yourself every single day and count your blessings. You're healthy (aside from the cavities), you have a wonderful marriage and a steady job. What more can you ask for? Well...maybe some sun. :)

5) Sun is vastly overrated, Leslie. Ask anyone in Portland. LOL

6) pegi, it does seem like it's been a dreary couple months.
dannie, I'm teaching summer school for a month this summer....other than that, I'm off.
LG, I went to the crafty store. Almost as good as shoe shopping.
Leslie, I've got so many great things going for me. It's just a case of the blahs. Once we've got some sun, I'll be good to go. I get this way in the winter.

10) I remember 27...it was a very good year; hope yours gets there, as well! Oh, and I LOVE the craft store, even if I don't know or want to do all that they have to offer. It's just so...crafty!

11) Sarah, SAD is "affecting" us all! (see ! comment above) I noticed ShopKo has full-spectrum floor lamps in this week's ad. It seems to help when I sit under one of these to read for an hour or so when this blaaahhh weather is upon us.
Happy belated Birthday & better moods are coming soon!

12) For Sarah S.:

THE NAKED earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun's gaze glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze;

– from "Into Battle" by Julian Grenfell (1873 – 1953)

You probably appreciate the sentiment. I appreciate the source. Sounds like the way I feel heading toward summer heat...into the battle for being uncomfortable! LOL

13) I'm with ya Sarah. Winter won't go away. It's either cold or rainy. The warm days are few and far between and more teasers than anything. I have major cabin fever and need sunshine and warmth very soon!

14) Chris has gotten me out this weekend, and I'm feeling a bit better. I'm not even dreading work starting again. Six more weeks until sun and summer.

15) I am sorry for just finding this today. Happy Belated Birthday!! Too bad you're not closer to AZ. It is exactly what you need!! I hope you get to feeling better soon. Lord knows that the weather in the mid-west is not easing up.
