Happy Birthday Mom!
Today is my Mom's birthday! I am so lucky to have such a great mom.
One of the funniest memories I have happened when I was around 4 and my family lived in FL. My parents had some friends over for dinner and some drinks, and my mom being the lightweight she is, had a little too much wine that her body could not handle. My dad and I had to take something to the neighbors across the street and when we got back to our house, we could not find my mom. We searched everywhere until we discovered her underneath the papasan chair. My dad helped my mom get to the bathroom, and then put me to bed.
The next morning, I heard my mom and dad talking and it was decided that my dad would take me to preschool because my mom was feeling sick. My dad and I pulled up to school and he took me inside. The teachers saw him and said, "What a treat, your dad is bringing you to school today." I promptly said what I had heard my parents say that morning, "My mom could not bring me because she drank too much last night, and she has a hangover." After my mom found out, she said that she had a hard time showing her face in that school again.
So here's to you mom! Happy Birthday! I love you very much. Thanks for being the best mom ever, and for giving me a great memory to laugh about!
