It's The End Of The World As We Know It
We are headed to Raleigh this afternoon to go and see R.E.M. play at Walnut Creek. They are headlining with The National & Modest Mouse opening up for them. We will be going and staying with our friend from college Selena, and her boyfriend Stephen and another friend. Dylan had a rough night last night, so I am working on very little sleep and hoping to get a second wind this evening. We are dropping her and the dogs off in Winston to stay with my parents for the evening.
I am very excited about the show and seeing our friends, but Denny read an article recently that said they were to play all songs off their new album. I mean I am sure they will throw in "Everybody Hurts" and "Losing my Religion" but I haven't listened to too many of the new songs, so it may not be quite as fun. I am glad Michael Stipe and the band are churning out new songs, but I still want to know "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?"
Also, the concert starts at 6pm. I know R.E.M. is getting a little older, but I sure feel like a geriatric going to a rock concert at 6. Maybe we should stop at K&W at 4pm and grab dinner.

I have been listening to the new R.E.M. album all morning and I agree Soundchick its pretty good. Its got some nice hooks and I think it will be fun to see them play the new songs live. You know, in between the old ones.
