Dear Denny

Dear Denny,

Thank you so much for standing in line for hours to get me an iphone while picking up yours. I get it now. I see why you thought these magical handheld devices were so amazing from the beginning. The iphone has truly brought some excitement to my life. It is like an organizer's dream come true, and I now feel like everything is just a "tap" away. I still only have 1 person in my contact list, but with someone as special as you, who else do I really need. I was up until 1am, just checking out the app store. I can see how people officially sell their souls to Steve Jobs, and I have even considered naming our next child Stevie or ichild (very unisex names I think).

I also want to thank you for letting me have a girl's night out to the movies last night with Kitch and the Shytle's while you handled dinner clean-up, Dylan, the dogs and the new puppy, Annie. It must have taken incredible willpower to pay attention to a new puppy in our house, while all you wanted to do was spend some special bonding time with your new phone. I am not sure how you did it, but the house was clean, the dogs were well behaved, Dylan was in bed and you had installed multiple apps on your phone when I got home. You are truly a remarkable man.

Please forgive me for ever doubting the power of Apple. You are like the auto-complete on my iphone; you know what I want before I do.

Love,
Niki

3) Dear Niki,
I have to be honest. I never could have had the house cleaned up and taken care of Dylan and all the dogs without the help of my new iPhone. As soon as you left I pulled up Google on the iPhone and found a maid service and in-home pet care service, plus a sitter... all with the click of a button. They showed up 30 minutes later and got to work. Which allowed me time to play with my iPhone and install those apps you were talking about. I agree, I too underestimated the power of the iPhone.

4) What will they think of next? Hopefully they will come out with a free app that takes all of your worries away.

5) If iPhones do all that--where do I get one? Does it do as good with 8GB or am I required to find a 16GB Black one to get all those perks? I'd love the maid service and since I have no pets, I'll go with the home private chef to manage those meals for me until Denny comes out here and cooks for us.

8) Hayley, I have been using the Pandora app. Just set it up this morning and I love it! You should tell Troy to get you an iphone one of these days, different kind of "ring" but just as nice!

9) Well ... my birthday IS coming up..haha...but Roomba comes first. :)

Can you put insurance on the iPhone?

10) No, they don't allow insurance on the iphone, but we are going to ask our insurance company about putting it on our homeowners insurance. We do it for Denny's SLR and it costs us $11 a year, and considering Denny dropped his previous SLR and got a brand new one it is totally worth it!

11) Some companies offer complimentary cellular phone coverage on your homeowners policies. One of my companies offers up to $250 worth of free coverage in certain insurance packages. The problem you have with that is it counts as a claim. If you have 2 claims within a 3 year period, then your company will non-renew you on your next renewal. A non-renewal is basically a nice cancellation. However after you are non-renewed then you have to be insured with a non-standard market which cost 2, 3 and 4 times as much as your standard HO policy. You have to be careful with those coverages... Your camera coverage is great, I have the same coverage... and its super cheap. But if they replaced your camera within the last 3 years, then be careful. If you have another small claim in that 3 year period then you will be stuck paying really high rates until at least 1 of your claims is more than 3 years old. Your agent/broker will probably tell you this. You have to weigh which retention you want to assume.... the cost of your broken Iphone or the cost of high insurance rates????

15) Sally did you get the More Cowbell app? I was walking through the house last night banging on the iPhone screen rocking out with my cowbell. That thing rocks, but will be old news by dinner time tonight. Moving on to another useless app... Phonesaber!
