4) I love college buckets, but the regular season is boring. Bring on the Dance! No team is unbeatable to me. I'm in Big 10 country and it really sucks despite the rankings.

5) I loved DePaul during the early 1980s. Too bad that was so long ago, and too bad Ray Meyer is dead.

7) After college (circa 1995 or 1996), I worked with a kid who moved to the Chicago area from southern Virginia. we started talking sports. The conversation shifts to college hoops. He talked about how lucky he was to catch some ACC ball out east. He asks who the big team is around here. I grabbed my empty Pepsi can and tossed it to him. It had a Loyola Ramblers season schedule printed on the side. I told him, "That's as good as it gets here."
