1) That's awesome. It looks like Jimmy and his wife were just hanging out in the bushes waiting for someone to come along and ask for a photo.

2) You wouldn't believe how well they had this thing set up. Apparently a couple times a month Jimmy is at church. You have to get there about 3 hours early to get a seat in the church itself. Otherwise they have closed circuit TV to watch the lesson. Secret service runs you through the metal detector and there presence is constant throughout. There's about an hour presentation before mass about what you can and can't do during the service and what you can and can't say to Jimmy if you have the opportunity to speak to him. I happened to be at the pre-service breakfast and he walked right up to me and shook my hand on his way out. After the service you have to immediately get in a line to have your picture taken with the he and his wife. This thing is run as tight as a ship. You walk up, they take your picture and you get the hell out. They tell you to literally get your picture, go straight to your car and leave the premises. If you linger around, the secret service will escort you from the property. It's all very surreal and something that everyone should try and do. There aren't any other former presidents that are more a part of the people then Jimmy Carter. Of course there aren't many former Presidents alive.

3) That's a great shot. Your kids have to take that photo to school.
