1) That's a small one, alright!! I have two that I have found over the year saved in a sealed container that are about that size. I will have to photograph them and put them on Humzoo. Robert has a look on his face that says "Man,anyone can find those big yellow ones, but it takes skill to locate these little guys!!"

2) This is a studio shot right? I believe those are reflections of a big soft box in his glasses. Whatever it is, it's beautiful light. Great photo.

3) The is indeed in the studio w/ 3 lights. The reflection is from a huge softbox right above him (My head is actually in the middle of the reflection) and two lights are hitting the wall behind him.

4) Ooh. Real soft boxes. Not the homemade kind that you make your girlfriend hold while wearing oven mitts.

5) It seemed like a good idea at the time. I mean, a little aluminum flashing, some angle iron, some sanded plexiglass and a 500 watt halogen lightbulb - what could be wrong with that? I'm pretty sure that your willingness to hold that up for me during a shoot was one of the factors that went into my eventual proposal. Also you look hot in oven mitts.

6) LOL Yes Courtney these are the real kind that require no oven mitts. :) It's prolly 4' x 3' and manages to scare people when I point it at them. I have managed to set some things on fire in the studio before, where at which point I wished I had some oven mitts. :)

7) Dave you need one of these, much easier and manageable than the object you describe :)

WHOOPS, by these I meant this http://store.garyfonginc.com/lsu-clear.html

8) The funniest stuff can always be described by "It seemed like a good idea at the time." Oven mitts. Absolutely hilarious.

9) Justin - hmmm... doesn't look nearly dangerous enough. But I do like the idea of anything that makes my camera look bigger. People always assume that big cameras = awesome photos, so I could probably charge 15% more for all freelance photo jobs. Then again, that homemade softbox would have let me charge about 300% more. Courtney - still have those oven mitts?

10) You need to search around on Ebay for one of the first pro digi cams called the Kodak DCS520s. It was a monster of a camera. You'd be able to charge 10K a shoot with two of those around your neck.

11) You bet. They're blue silicone, and they bring out my eyes.

13) At first glance I thought this was an advertisement with Harrison Ford.

14) Is there a Guiness Book of Records for the smallest morel found? Very awesome photo. I like the way the b&w really makes you notice detail and light. Took me a while to get used to the idea that b&w actually makes things look more interesting or better. :) Can't wait to see more. And I have to go see Dave's creation too.

16) Dave, that looks like a solar oven...I guess that is what the ovens mitts were for?
