2) WooHoo, come on Sammy Sue! I expect a full blog with minute-by-minute details (Jason).. lots of photos(Bob), videos(Pegi), and go ahead and turn the webcam on too. Press the red button on it, that should configure the ports and adjust the lighting automatically for you. We'll all be waiting patiently at www.shareyourbabywiththeworldontheintertubes.org/sam

6) Just got an update... Jason sounds good and I hear sleepiness in his voice. Sarah is hanging in there and is at 4cm but they expect Sam before noon. I'm going by to say hello and will give another report later this morning. Bob and Pegi are by their side.

8) Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Sarah (& Jason), consider your boredom cured! :) Yesterday I was working in the yard & the thought kept coming to me - "Wonder if this storm will help move things along?" Anyhow, the why fores aren't so important now --- am just glad you and your family are that much closer to meeting your little miracle. Safe travels, Sam. Love to you all.

9) Sarah has worked long and hard for the last 10 hours!!! She got an epidural about an hour ago and is totally chilled out now. She's completely effaced and dilated 5cm. The doc is supposed to come in and break her water any time now, which should make things pick up.

I have to say I could not be more proud of my daughter and son-in-law! They make an incredible team. Soon they will be a 3 man team.

Bob is seeing to the doggies but will be back here soon. Sarah is eating a popsicle. Jason is joking around and making phone calls.
Fingers crossed!

10) Good luck you guys! Ser, we're pulling for you. You can do it!! What an exciting way to start the weekend!

Jason,
Be careful when they break the water dude. Back up a few feet. I totally slipped and almost busted my ass when they broke Niki's. Those floors are really slippery.

17) Matt, do you mind making a little detour to IL? I could use a Grand Slam.

Thanks to everyone for the updates. I woke up this morning and ran to my computer to see if Sam's here yet. Sounds like it shouldn't be much longer. Good luck everyone!

18) Just got back from the hospital. Sarah seems super mellow. They broke her water and haven't checked her since the 5cm report. I imagine she is further along. Both sets of grandparents are there now. Auntie Alyson is also there and Uncle Matt is on his way. I don't know how I'm going to get any work done today.

43) It's been a long hard haul. Sarah is in OR getting a c-section right now. The theory is Sam has a BIG HEAD and was all catywampus (sp?) Sarah and Jason are absolutely amazing. Such hard, hard work.

Too tired to think straight and I didn't even have to WORK!!!

Update soon.

45) Now that I think about it Jason's head is a pretty nice size. Lots of knowledge stored up there, that boy is going to be a smart one. Glad to hear everything is going well! Go Ser, Jason and Sammie Sue!

Niki, no worries on recording the debate. I figured out that I could login to directv.com and set it on the receiver myself. Modern day technologi is just an amazin' thang.

49) Sam is a beautiful spirit, calm and observing the world he has entered after a long, hard journey. Jason brought Sam out to meet many of his extended family members.

Sarah is still in recovery - they had to put her under because the epidural stopped being effective after 9 hours. The first 9 hours were medicine free. I hate that she did not get to see Sam and will wake up in recovery by herself. So, please all of you send her all the love and light you can spare.

51) She will wake up to a wonderful little boy that has his Mommy's sweet face. Such a big baby for a tiny little mommy! I know she has to be wiped out. We are so happy for the whole family. Pegi and Bob don't wear yourselves out doing cartwheels in the corridor. I wish I could see your beaming faces right now. Love, Dannie and Richard

52) Hey! I actually posted a comment on Friday night, but I don't see it on here. Who knows what happened with our crazy computer. Anyway, I wanted to say congrats to everyone! I'm so excited that Sam is here. I really hate that I couldn't be over at the hospital for everything and I didn't get to come over Friday evening. However, my little one was in need...with another ear infection...and I knew you all were exhausted, too. I'm so glad everyone is okay. I was almost in tears as Jason was telling me the story. I know it must have been a little scary and chaotic. I bet it's nice to have Sam here and for the family to be together and just chillin'.

Also, my parents wanted to tell you all congrats! My mom is in FL right now, visiting her little grandson, so she couldn't get on the computer to write it herself.

Talk to you all soon! I hope to get down there this weekend!
