This was a few weeks ago, on our patio. The azaleas are now brown but it sure was a bright spot for a few weeks.

8) Pegi,

Ever dealt with wild geraniums in a yard? Apparently I get them in droves (never knew the name until today) every year.

9) Yep. I don't know if they're the same kind, but we have them here in NC. If they were actually pretty they wouldn't be such a pest!

Interesting, though, I picked up a perennial geranium at the local farmer's market that reseeds like crazy. It is probably considered a weed because it spreads so rapidly, but I have let it take over under some shrubbery and I love it. It has finely dissected leaves and is continuously covered with bright pink flowers.

10) It's not an ugly weed but it sure takes over in the yard. This year is the worst of all--it's overrun the raised bed areas. Talk about rapid! Guess it liked that cool, wet spring. I thought it was kinda pretty the first year until it consumed the back. :) Thanks for the plant info, as always!!

11) I think I may regret letting this one take over, too! It does pull easily, though, where the other weedy geranium it almost impossible to get out by the roots. How about yours?
