Hiking in Hawaii
Today we went to the north end of Hawaii past Kohala to the end of the road. This point is called Pololu Valley. It was just the four of us. Rob, Rick, Sandy and I. Bruce was on tour duty with the folks. Even though it was drizzling we decided to make the 3 mile hike to the bottom of the valley to the black sand beach below.

The trail was very rocky and muddy.

We took refuge under the scrubs and trees as the squalls of rain came through. We made it to the bottom and we were amazed at the size of the waves.
You could see the squalls coming across the water.
After getting drenched with rain it was time to make our way back up the trail. We discovered that our trail was now a small creek full of water. It was a great hike and definitely worth getting wet.
