My biggest commision, so far...
This has been my project this week. I met a lady at a show I did in May and she said she liked my work and could she have my card. I gave out several and knew that it was rare that anyone would actually call back. She did and asked me to come out to her house and bring my sunflower mat. It was one that I use in my studio and had painted a couple of years ago. She wound up ordering three!
She liked the whimisical look and the bold colors.
I have learned in making them that the borders really take it up a notch so I tried to add some colors from the rest of her house.
My index finger on my right hand is permanently numb from cutting the scallops in the vinyl flooring and my poor knees....
I took over the basement-had to sweep and mop first to have enough space for my production. If I do more I am going to have to come up with a table because painitng on the floor was close to torture even with a foam mat.I am happy with the results and hope my client will be too. I am also going to paint a 72" square checked rug for her garden room. I better go stock up on more blue tape!

4) Looks awesome, Dannie. Very nice!! I can see why she liked them and wanted to get her own. You definitely need a table. Tell Rusty Pipes to work on that for you. :)

5) These are great Mom! I like the scallop edge and how you break the border with the flowers.

7) Dannie, these are beautiful!! You're so talented. I have always been so envious of artists. I gave birth to one but that is the closest I'll ever come to being an artist!

9) Actually they are very durable. I put two coats, sometimes more of acrylic polyurethane on them. I'm glad you like them.
