Walking on Water
We woke up to 8 degrees and soon sparkling sunlight. The ten inches of snow covered by sleet covered by a dusting of last night's snow is dazzling. I got dressed around 10 to take the dogs for a walk. My sweet Sandy had held her bladder all night and was about ready to pop. I expected to crunch througn the snow but it was so frozen we walked right across the frozen crust I heard a bunch of commotion in the branches of a tree overhead. I saw not one but three owls playing from tree to tree. Of course I didn't take my camera so after I got the dogs settleted I ran in and got it.
I could only find this guy but I will keep on the lookout and try to get all 3 at once.It actually is quite plesant if you are dressed in enough layers. No wind, so it feels warmer than yesterday even though it hasn't reached the teens yet.
The kids will have a blast sledding today.

1) Good sledding snow! You'll race like the wind on that hardened stuff!! Love the photos and amazing viewing of 3 owls at once. I've barely seen one at a time--never 3!
