Rite of Spring
Richard and I were out on a garage sale adventure when we drove down this beautiful country road. We happened to see these two farmers hard at work giving their sheep their summer haircuts.

I had an aha! moment and asked if they could possibly help me with a photo contest
This was the first try. Mr. Mapp got really tickled because he was just learning how to shear these babies. Mr. Durham showed him a few techniques and this was tthe second effort.

Not bad, I think. It was alot of fun and I could have stayed there all day. We met a few more of the little guys

I got excited because I thought I found wild turkey tracks.
But it turned out this was the "wild" turkey.
We headed home with more than a few treasures, having made two new friends,
.
I had to stop along the way and share some of Americana with you.

I will be having fun this weekend working at a Bluegrass festival called Jamokee. Hope to get some great pics there. Happy Spring Everyone!

You know you're in North Carolina when there's a dead vehicle in the yard. Home sweet home.
