Monday, May 28th, 2012Whimsy Cottage-movin on up and out!
The Pirate Crew and Mother Nature sure have been working well together. It is just an amazing process to see our home going up right before our eyes. We have gone from this
to sitting on our front porch sipping a cool one after the days events.
The 3 Matt's aka Honey(Pike)Sweetie(Hess) and Precious(Lucas)
work hard and diligently with just one lunch break thru the day.The covered porch is 6 foot deep across the great room, in front of the kitchen window. It steps back about a foot and a half and is about 12 x 12,in front of the studio, covered and big enough for a table and seating area.The "front door" opens right into the kitchen area so it will be great for meals. We noticed that we get a cool breeze up there. The porch is about 4-6 feet off the ground. (I can walk under it pretty easily.) The foundation will be stuccoed. The pine board and battens arrived and the windows are here so if it doesn't rain we should see another big change when we go up Saturday for the whole month of June.
Just had to throw in a picture of our mini-pirate. He is sitting on his Tow Mater.
