Sarah Beth

Tomorrow is your birthday. Its actually a day of celebration for me. I celebrate the decision to have "just one more" because our family didn't feel complete. I remember the day we brought you home. Matt and Laurie about pulled you out of my arms because they wanted to see "our baby." I guess because you were number three I was more relaxed and could enjoy you and not worry so much(when you were a baby that is:>)You always had a sense of adventure and were very independent (some things never change.) You tolerated your big brother and the 4 boys his age barreling through our house in Kernersville. You tried to be like your big sister for a little while and then Forget it! You became your own self, interested in caterpillars and basketball and swimming like a fish. You were the one who took after the "Cook" side of the family with your pretty hazel eyes and the ability to tan like an Indian.I could say you gave me gray hair but now its turning curly and its because I am happy in my life and that is because you rescued me.I think I gave you some gray hair in return so now we are even and have a very special bond based out of understanding and a very creative nature. Some flashes of happiness:

Holding up a picture of you in the same dress your sister wore at one year and seeing how much you really do look alike.
You walking down the street on Lakeway going to visit the Traylors.
Watching you do the breast stroke and winning!
Seeing you on top of the pyramid when you were a cheerleader.
Your pink jeans with the catepillar squashed in the pocket.
Camp Hanes and the snake at the head of your bead.
Your "60"s" outfit when you sang in the talent show in HS.
The day you graduated form HS (whew)
Discovering your artistic side.
Getting the sofa stuck in the doorway.
The poodle haircut-I am so sorry!
Visiting you at the Apple House
Outward Bound
Phish
You and Matt and the prom date
The Red dress
The Purple bedroom
The Black bedroom and the net around your bed
Your very special wedding
The Funky Family Reunion
Drinking Wine and the week we had together at Kungua
Looking forward to the next 31 years, baby girl!

Hope you have a wonderful day! We Love you, Mom and Daddy Richard
