2) Wishing you people lived closer...I'm a licensed, in-home daycare located on a culdesac with about 2700 toys to play with. I'm open 5 days/week from 7am-5pm, and I serve two meals and two snacks for $140/week. I can take one more under 24 months and three more over 24 months. Geesh!

Don't know anyone licensed in the Springfield area, though - Bill's cousin is in Rochester, but you didn't list that town. Good luck looking, soundchick!

3) The babysitter was upset about having to take this job but the timing sucks. She loves my daughter like she's a grandchild. I see her dilemma, but I'm more worried about mine.

7) Good luck, I would suggest my daughter, she currently works full time at a daycare and has been for 2 years (LOVES IT) but she is going back to college this fall at LLCC. If she knows of someone she can recommend I will leave another comment.

10) Thanks, Ames. I'll keep that in mind. I think I may have gotten lucky finding a lady in Sherman who just happens to be losing 2 kids next week. If that doesn't work out, I'll be contacting you ASAP!

11) Update: All is well. I got a call today from one of the day care centers in Sherman. They have an opening for Brennan and will be able to take her now as well as the new baby once he or she is born.
