Everytime I hear the name Palin I always think of my daughter's description of her, "the moose hunting lady with the nice rack." The word moose made me recall one of the moose Nancy and I saw while in Alaska a little over a year ago. We were on a bus tour of Denali National Park when this moose was spotted. The valley here was pretty smoky due to a forest fire a couple hundred miles away.

1) Moose have to be one of the homliest animals but you can't help but like them. Though after reading a book about the Iditarod and the viciousness of the moose to the sled dogs made them seem a little less approachable. My friend, Carol, had a moose encounter in Alaska too. Maybe she will come on and tell it to folks. :) I'll send her your photo link to encourage her. :)

2) On our last trip to Alaska they were every where! I made some "moose Poop" ear rings and did a whimiscal painting of a moose for Richard. They have very long legs!

3) I love moose. They're my favorite animal. I have a moose stuffed animal collection. When Chris and I went to Colorado, I made him spend an hour or so photographing the moose and her baby. We had more pictures of that moose and her calf than the rest of the pictures combined for that day.

5) I'd love to. I actually have family there. I have several friends from there as well (one of my best friends from when I lived in CO). Actually a couple months before he moved out to Colorado, he was in a horrible car accident...he hit a moose. He hated my love of all things moose and gave me such a hard time. I just can't help myself though. They're so big and dopey and grouchy.

7) There's a reason I identify with the moose...at least until after my first cup of coffee in the morning. LOL.

10) Sarah, I'm a total moose lover too! Though Lilly has kidnapped each and every one of my stuffed animals and all of the children's books too.

11) Carrie, that story is interesting. I hope they get down to Illinois. I could have a moose pet :)

Nancy, I know. I'm a self-proclaimed grouch.

Jules, I don't know that I could ever share...although, mine are just sitting in the corner of my closet right now.
