2) This is a really cool picture! What kind of birds are these? I've never seen two different types flying together in formation before.

3) Adult snowgeese are the white ones, with black tips to their wings. The darker ones I believe are inmature snowgeese, or a gray phase of snowgeese that are sometimes referred to as "blue" geese. You are right, Linsay, about different types flying together; I can't recall having seen two species of geese in the same formation before. I have seen ducks in with geese occasionally, however.
