I bought a new macro lens today. I had good macro capabilities with an old Sony I had, but it died a little over a year ago. The lenses for my Canon Rebel XTi just aren't good for macro photography. I read a lot of reviews on lenses and adapters for close-up work and was impressed by what I read about Canon's EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. It is probably as good as one can get without going to the L series of lenses. I had to go try it out and see what kind of results I could get.
