Coming Home
It was a wonderful experience being at the hospital, but we couldn't wait to set foot in our house with Mason. We had a wonderful ride home and Mason really did a great job. We got home and I broke out the equipment to capture his first moments at his first house.

The cats were a little interested, but not overly. I think bringing home the receiving blankets really helped. They didn't like all the noise that Mason makes, but they did like the fact that we let them play in the garage a bit more.

Mason got a quick tour of his nursery and then it was off to raising our son. Getting him on a good schedule is important and there is so much to learn. We are really looking forward to the adventures that he will bring us.

2) Let the "fun" begin! PS. What is on his ankle, if I can be nosy?

3) Newborns are amazing! Enjoy every minute and snuggle as much as possible. Before you know it, he will be three and will rarely snuggle! :)

5) That was some type of ID thing. They also have this anklet that will close off all doors and elevators, plus sounds an alarm if a baby gets within a certain range. It really helped us feel secure anytime Mason had get something done.

6) You hear so many amazing stories about babies being removed from the hospital by strangers. That's a nice security measure!

7) They had those security bracelets at our hospital too. One of the nights we were there, they had a code pink (possible missing baby). We didn't find out that's what had happened until later, but basically the whole floor shut down and none of the nurses were available until everything was figured out. Makes you feel better knowing they've got an eye out for bad people.

I know I said it on another page, but he is just one perfect looking newborn. :-)

8) Home Sweet home! So glad Mason is adjusting to his new life. I am looking forward to returning on Sunday Eve, and getting to see Mason in person Monday before or after his first Doctor Visit ! This Blog has truly been a blessing for me. Although everytime I take a look, Lawton's words have brought on such powerful emotions that inevitably bring on the tears!
See you Monday, Mason
