1) I'm living with the same frustration here at work. Just installed VM Fusion. What is your setup like? Is it a printer that is connected locally or is it a network printer?

2) It is a network printer. Brother MFC 8870-DW. But I cannot get her to print on my HP7350 that is directly connected to the Mac via USB. I tried installing the drivers to the Virtual PC and it still isn't happening for me.

5) Oh, I have a better solution for you then. Download Firefox on your Mac and install a User-Agent Switcher plugin.. problem solved!

Firefox:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

User-Agent Switcher
http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

Once installed change the User-Agent to Windows via the Tools -> User-Agent Switcher menu. Take that IE-centric insurance web sites!

8) Will, I got it working.

Dude you are doing it all wrong. Turn your computer off, unplug the computer from the coffee maker too. Wait a couple days. Come back to work. Turn everything back on and plug in your printer again. If you look closely there is a VMWare Fusion port on the back of your Mac, that's where it goes. It was added by Bill Gates himself. That should fix it. No drivers required.

Okay, enough horsing around. Here is the real answer, or at least what worked for me. I downloaded the drivers (on the PC) first. Go here to get them ( http://www.brother.com/E-ftp/softwin.html), just get the Add Printer drivers. Unzip them somewhere on your computer (the PC). Then go to the network settings on my Mac (System Prefs/Network) and enabled Printer Sharing, then under that make sure you enable the printer itself. Go back to Windows and Add Printer... chose Local Printer (plug and play). It probably won't find one, thats ok. When you get to the ports look in the list and you should see your printer listed something like "BRW0109288WILLROCKS4 (Standard TCP/IP Port)". Select that, click next. Click Have Disk, browse for the driver wherever you unzipped it earlier. It should take it from there and install the printer. That should work. I think you have to restart too. Stupid PC's.
