Obama's Budget cuts....
This kind of puts it all in perspective.

I guess he is trying...

3) Too bad congress can't put it into perspective. Or maybe they can but just don't care.

6) 100 million is at least a starting point. Visually it's not much, but it's still a lot of money in my humble opinion.

9) It would be impressive if the head of a government agency or even entire department announced cuts of $100 million. Not so much for a president. I agree it's a great starting point, but is it important enough to even make an announcement about?

10) Gotta start somewhere. Go save that quarter of a penny, Big Guy!

11) I'm not sure that I agree with the part that said, "This is money we don't have and would have to borrow." The term "fiat money" refers to money that is created by a law. My guess is that this trillion dollar "stimulus package" is being financed with fiat money, which means if the way our paychecks felt before was represented by the number of pennies on the table - the quarter of a penny will represent the amount of money it feels like you have after the stimulus. When this inflation really hits in order to stabilize this, don't be surprised at $25/gallon gas and $50/gallon milk. I've read Greespsan's thoughts on the issue and I believe he knew this was coming for a very long time.

13) It is finally dawning on you people that voted for him that he is not an Economist. Well, welcome to the club, Economics and other subjects are what make a President that is not prepared and makes this country be in a precarious position. Another thing that scares me is his misunderstanding of the situation in Pakistan because it is much more grave than Afghnistan and yet he is sending troops to to Afgh., rather than Pakistan.

14) dont act like Obama is the only person in the white house, he has foreign policy advisors, economists etc that advise him... he doesnt use a 'jump to conclusions' mat to make decisions.

and he is actually doing something, instead of sitting at home and complaining, like some beans, i mean, people...

16) $17 billion is a little better, that's 42.5 pennies, almost 9 stacks, or almost half of one percent of the total budget.
